Over the course of the last three articles, I hope that I’ve helped you focus on an aspect of the game of blackjack that most players ignore: the exact nature of the way the dealer shuffles the cards. Before continuing, I’d like to address something that was brought to my attention by one of the readers of the Blackjack Insider. This is something that all readers should understand, not only about shuffle tracking, but about blackjack in general, and it is something readers should understand before attempting to track any shuffle. The edge in shuffle tracking works much like the edge in regular blackjack. Just because the game being dealt is blackjack does not mean a card counter can beat it.
