A WORD FROM HENRY

This month we have several reports on playing conditions covering the following casinos: Mandalay Bay and Luxor (Stu D. Hoss), and Harrah's and The Linq (by KC Brooks) in Las Vegas; several Kansas City area casinos (by JPB); Rivers, Meadows (Pittsburg) and Mountaineer in West Virginia (by Mark Gruetze); and Resorts and Taj Mahal in Atlantic City (Joe "Freeload" Freda). As most of you probably know, MGM properties in Las Vegas for the first time ever are going to start charging guests for parking; read Stu D Hoss' take on this in his Las Vegas report. Try answering the 21 Blackjack Ball test questions that was given to the blackjack pros in my Blackjack Ball-Part 2 article. (Don't worry, I've got the answers.) Nicholas Colon presents the first of three articles on the M.I.T Blackjack Team Guide to help players know what they should be studying, including a training regimen, to make them competent players. Paul Wilson provides an excellent guide on what to look for (i.e., scouting) before you sit down to play blackjack. (Follow his advice to play only the best blackjack games.) If you play Jacks or Better video poker, you may want to check out Jerry "Stickman's" article on some finer points of playing strategy. Lastly, we have our roundup of upcoming blackjack tournaments courtesy of www.blackjacktournaments.com.

Act now for the $100 discount! The next hands-on Speed Count Blackjack Class that I will be teaching will be held in Las Vegas on June 24th. You can receive a $100 early-bird discount if you sign up for the class by April 24. To read more about the class, go to www.goldentouchblackjack.com. Classes fill up quickly so if you want to attend, sign up ASAP.

I was recently filmed in Las Vegas by my good friend Steve Bourie and his son Matt for an instructional video on the Insurance bet in blackjack. Steve publishes the best-selling American Casino Guide book, and on his web site (www.americancasinoguide.com) he has a vast collection of free instructional videos covering different casinos games.
