Here are the upcoming major blackjack tournaments, from May 1st to June 15th, 2004.

These events are all open tournaments, not invitationals.

May 3, 2004: Verona, NY Turning Stone Casino

Blackjack Doubleheader, two separate tournaments in one day, with $8400 in prizes.

First place in each pays $2520, based on entrants. Entry and Re-entry $25.

May 15-17, 2004: Las Vegas, NV Stardust Casino

Sandwiched between the Hilton finals, and the first MD3 qualifier, this should be a popular event.

Entry $375 ($350 before Apr 30), $600 live money buy-in each round.

Betting $5 to $300. First place $60,000. Limited to 312 players.

That’s right, Million Dollar Blackjack is back for a third year!

The first qualifier is to be held immediately after the finals for MD2. Here’s the first qualifier:

Entry fee of $1000 includes three room nights.

$57500 in prizes with $20K for first.

16 players qualify for a seat in the $1 Million finals in May 2005.

$52,000 Cdn in prizes, with $15,000 Cdn to the winner.

The Pioneer in Laughlin has increased the size of this next event, which now features a $100K prize pool.

Entry Fee $500, includes room for 2 nights, tournament gift and the following meals for player and a guest: Welcome Dinner, Meals for Saturday, and Sunday champagne brunch.

Prize Money: 1^st = $50,000, 2^nd = $18,500, 3^rd = $9,000, 4^th = $4,500, 5^th = $2,200, 6^th = $1,600, 7^th = $1,200, 8^th = $1000, 9^th to 48^th = $300 (quarter finalists).
