Confusing tournament situations are the rule rather than the exception, but an incident during a recent online tournament really had me going. I’ll set up the scenario…

I was watching a table being played during a tournament at Global Player casino. The betting limits were $10 to $500, and surrender was allowed. I’ll keep it simple and ignore all but two players in the round. On the final hand, the chip leader was on the button. Her bankroll was $2,135, and she had bet $350. Our other player had a bankroll of $1,760, and he bet $500. The dealer turned up a 3. One player advances to the next round.

Player A: $2135 Bet $350+$350 Cards 6-3, double 6 = 15.

Player B: $1760 Bet $500 Cards 6-4.
