Low Roller is a skilled blackjack and video poker player and author of the Low Roller column that appears weekly in the At The Casino section of the Biloxi Sun Herald newspaper. This month’s focus will be on Casino Row in Biloxi, which comprises the following casinos located within walking distance of each other on Hwy. 90: Isle of Capri, Casino Magic, and the Grand.

As you drive across the long drawbridge connecting Ocean Springs and Biloxi, you’ll approach three casinos on the left. I’ll begin with the last casino on the left, the Grand Casino Biloxi, because it’s the largest and the one with the most complicated table conditions.

I use the word "complicated" because there’s a mix of single, double and six-deck games with varying minimums and maximums on the casino floor. Within this mix of blackjack tables, some are hand shuffled and some are shuffled with automatic shufflers and still others use a continuous shuffler machine (CSM). And all the tables, even those with the CSMs, are always crowded on weekends.
