LAS VEGAS BLACKJACK REPORT Boulder Highway – The Las Vegas Blvd. for Locals By LV Tournament Pro LV Tournament Pro is the pseudonym of a skilled advantage blackjack player and an experienced tournament player who has won over $400,000 playing blackjack tournaments. He competed in the World Series of Blackjack 2005 and also finished first in a monthly qualifier in the Las Vegas Hilton’s Million Dollar Blackjack Tournament. His peers consider him to be one of the strongest blackjack tournament players.
For those that don’t know, Boulder Highway is a busy North South thoroughfare on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley. There are five casinos located on Boulder Highway from Tropicana Avenue to Highway 95 that cater almost exclusively to local gamblers. In the past, for the most part, the locals got the most bang for their hard earned buck playing in these casinos. The local gamblers are known to be somewhat mindful to not fall for all the "tourist traps" that are laid out like mine fields on the Strip for all the clueless tourists to step on You see all the slot and video poker machines on the Strip, except for a handful and I do mean a handful, are not full pay machines. In the past, the Boulder Highway casinos have had a large selection of these player favorable, full pay machines which the locals want and demand from their neighboring casinos. But don’t feel sorry for these casinos because they still make a ton of money from players who play without perfect strategy and max coins so in the grand scheme of things the casinos are giving away nothing. The casinos on the Strip know that the vast majority of tourists wouldn’t know the difference between a full pay machine and a "Bust Out" machine so there is no need to offer the higher paying full pay machines. The casino manager’s mentality on the Strip is, "how quick can we get their money and send them home with just bus fare." ...enter your member login information below to read this article/newsletter...
