Yes, I’m homeless and no, it’s not because of a gambling addiction. Actually, I can thank Hurricane Katrina (The Storm) for my homeless situation and I don’t mean that the roof over my head is gone. Well now the State of Mississippi is missing out on half a million dollars in tax revenue from the casinos alone, not to mention the state income taxes and sales taxes generated by their employees. Just this past month the law was finally changed, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos will be rebuilding on land within 800 feet of the shoreline.
