The following are my observations of blackjack conditions taken in Dec. 2006. MGM I arrived at MGM at 5 PM on a Friday night to the usual massive crowds that swamp the Detroit area casinos in the evening and on weekends. As expected the casino was a zoo and the tables were all crowded. The following table summarizes the conditions that I observed. See member's article for details.
The last two games in the above table are playable if you have the bankroll. I did not notice any heat but then it was a complete ploppyfest so there was no reason for heat. There was also one 6-5 single deck game, H17, $10 - $300 limits and one Double Exposure game at $5- $300 limits. Both of these games should be avoided. Casino Windsor (Located just across the border in Canada) I arrived at 7 PM on Saturday to another huge crowd and ploppyfest. The casino has been renovated and signs everywhere indicate the coming conversion to Caesars Windsor. I can only anticipate the games getting even worse as the conversion into the "EVIL EMPIRE" is completed. See member's article for details.
Tables in the high limit room are "no mid-shoe entry". GREEKTOWN I arrived at 9 PM on Tuesday to yet another big evening crowd. See member's article for details.
The high limit room only had 11 people scattered around three of the tables. The rest of the casino tables were packed with people blissfully playing these poor rules and games. Summary See member's article for details.
