"There were no open tables at my hotel's casino so I drove to Casino Royale. I had to decompress from the drive and ease back into counting rhythm so I chose to do so initially for low stakes. The one decent $10 double-deck table was deserted so I bought in for $200 and played until they told me they wanted to close down my table at 3:30 am. By this time I had bought in for an additional $200. I was down at first, struggled to get to within $30 of even, and then lost it all on a disastrous series of losing high-count bets. Ok, down $400 after the first hour of play. Not my best start to a trip..."
